This is a very high quality U. Made reproduction of the one piece Skid Plate used on the early MB & GPW. This plate was only used on early jeeps that had the external emergency brake system. This is the system that used a brake band to squeeze the outside of the emergency brake drum. Unlike other reproduction skid plates made today that are flat this one was formed with the correct angled edges. When mounted under a jeep the skid plate protects the transmission and exhaust pipe. Each skid plate comes complete with mounting hardware. This is our own reproduction made exclusively for us.
